The Kit-Han-Ne Questers #408 was established 38 years ago in 1969. The Questers is an International study group with chapters in the United States and Canada. From the beginning the members have been involved in many restoration projects. At present 20 members are actively participating in projects for the benefit of the community, among them helping to microfilm past copies of the Leader Times - 70 volumes worth. The chapter has committed funds for the completion of the 1930's years. Other volumes from 1940 to 1953, are still in need of preserving.
For the past several years the group has sponsored Antiquing Along the Allegheny, to raise funds. The 9th annual fair is scheduled for Sat. Sept. 13, 2008, in Riverfront Park, Kittanning from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm Vendors spaces are $25.00 each, $5.00 extra for electricity and $35.00 after deadline of August 10th. may contact Rovena at 724-548-1015 for info.
Two $1,000.00 grants were received from the PA Questers Grants Fund and given to the Mildred Lankard-Thomas Library for the above micro-filming project. Grants of $2,500.00 and $1,500.00 were received from the International Questers and donated to the Library also. This was in addition to similar funds given by the chapter.

In 2007, the chapter has replaced the front side lite windows at the McCain House with leaded glass panels. Our current project is to restore several portraits of Armstrong County Judges at the Courthouse.
