Ford City, PA - "What Is the Neighborhood Crime Watch?"
We are a group of concerned citizens whose aim is to promote a safe community in which to live. We are the "eyes and ears" of the police. If we see or hear anything suspicious, we call 911 to report it. We are NOT a vigilante group that goes out on our own to arrest a criminal. Neither do we put ourselves in any danger at any time. Since the police cannot be everywhere at the same time, they need the co-operation of the citizens to communicate any illegal activity they see or hear to them. They are trained to subdue a suspect, we are not. The citizens and the law officers MUST work together to make a safe neighborhood for everyone.
