As a storyteller here in western PA, I can`t ask for a better backdrop. The War Memorial Wall has depictions of the American military from every war in our rich history, all the way back to the French and Indian War of 1754-1760, when the Declaration of Independence was still 20 years in the future.

The 24` long x 6` tall bronze plaque devotes its lower half to a list of soldiers lost in each war, all from Armstrong County, PA.

The courthouse, annex, and plaque are also the starting point for the Downtown Kittanning Walking Tour.  Within a short time, you can see a fascinating array of architecture and read historical accounts of Kittanning`s role in early American history.  Check it out first on Kittanning.com, the Walking Tour starts here.
